| Welcome to Casa Angeles de Merida Angeles De Merida was restored and renovated in 2004 when it was turned into a bed and breakfast hotel. Located on the quietest streets in Merida, The B and B is two blocks from Parque Santiago and seven blocks from the Zocalo (town square). The entryway and living room have 18-foot beamed ceilings. The home has four air conditioned custom decorated guest rooms with their own private baths located in a cabana in the garden. All the guest rooms overlook the pool and tropical garden. Angeles de Merida B&B’s superb services resemble that of a small luxury hotel with uncompromising personal service in a casual elegant setting. The home is an early 19th century structure once owned by a Spanish Count and Countess. We believe our concierge and spa services would even make the Countess proud. About Merida Merida is the largest city on the Yucatan Peninsula. It attracts visitors interested in historic sightseeing, shopping for Mayan art and relaxing. On Sundays, the streets around the Zocalo are closed to cars and come alive with music and artisans selling their wares. Though a bustling city of about 700,000, Merida retains its colonial charm and has a laid-back tempo that delights visitors. It makes a good base from which to explore the Mayan archaeological sites of Chichen-Itza and Uxmal. Pink flamingo sanctuaries and swimable crystal-clear cenotes (sinkholes) are among the natural attractions that are easily accessible from Merida. The emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico lap at beaches just thirty minutes away from Angeles De Merida. |
